Without the door closed, there is no privacy. FYI the bedroom is a room without any windows and the ceiling fan did not work if you turned the lights off, making it a bit stuffy and claustrophobic with the door closed. The wifi works great, and we were thrilled to be able to wash our clothes in the washer and dryer after having traveled around Oregon hiking for two weeks.
